At Productive Media, it’s more than making the right product, it’s about making the product right.

The duplication process begins with a master disk; either one authored by Productive Media or one received from the client.  Whatever the method, every project goes through our media approval process where an approval disk is created complete with printed label for the client to see.  This way, we ensure that the final product is exactly as promised.

Once we have an approved master, there are two methods of creating multiple copies: Duplication and Replication.

Duplication is used for projects requiring a small quantity of or quick turnaround time. The duplication process can be used with both DVD and CD media and can utilize all of the design services offered by Productive Media.

If your project requires more than 800 discs and there is ample lead time, then CD-DVD replication is often a more cost-effective solution than duplication.

CD and DVD replication follows the same approval process as duplication, but also involves mastering to a Digital Linear Tape (DLT). A typical replication project can be completed in three to four weeks from the time the approval disk is accepted by the client.

No matter the scale, Productive Media will help you determine which technique is best for your project and deadline; and ensure that you get your project on time, on budget, and on target.
